The possibilities of web development {For a newcomer}

You ever wonder how integrated coding has become in today’s society? Phones, TV’s, video games, websites, etc. It would be easy to figure out that daily life would be so much different if not for tools like this. Coding is not for everyone; however it is important to know the impact that this technology has made on us as a whole. Coding is somewhat difficult for the average person, as most things to do on a computer can and will be difficult, try not to let that sway you however, as many careers could be open to you if you go with coding or web development, here are the three i will be talking about today

  • Web App development
  • Game development
  • Cyber Security

I felt like these three would be perfect, as I attempted to balance money, fun, and something that should be integrated into daily life, so without further ado, let me get to the first category.

    Web app development consists of building, testing, designing, and using interactive software programs to your advantage. The main key components of the process are on the image, identify the purpose of the web app, define any and all functions, plan the workflow, prepare a prototype, begin development, and test and launch the app.  It is important to know programming languages for this, along with reading skills, frameworks, and tools to be successful here. This position can get you thousands of dollars, skyrocketing from $4,000 for a basic app, all the way up to $150,000 for something more complex when it comes to the things i have just listed, it pays off to be in this process.

           Game development can be approached in plenty of different ways depending on what you want to do, and how you want to go about it. You can choose to work under a corporation, with the pay potentially being way higher than if you went independently, but there’s a chance that it’ll be made with a lower budget. There are PLENTY of genres to pull from when making a game, here are a few examples

  • Platformer
  • Racing
  • First-person shooter
  • Horror title
  • Puzzle Game
  • RPG

And the list only goes on from here. Game development is a solid choice regardless of how you choose to go about it, just be wary of limitations of what you are attempting to make it on, who you are making it for, and your general surroundings in the work department.

                Cybersecurity has way more of a use in everyday life than it may seem at first glance, It pays well, with pay ranges going anywhere from $125,000 – $128,000 internationally, varying depending on which role you are going for. Over many years, cybersecurity has only enhanced itself in order to keep plenty of things out of the hands of the unwelcome, like passwords to a streaming service, your bank details, and so much more that could easily be exploitable without cybersecurity. This is a fairly difficult process, as security progressively gets better over-time, so do strategies to steal personal info, so you always have to be thinking on your feet in order to stay ahead in this department.

       All in all, I feel like I have said everything I need to here. It is okay to be confused at times, or mess up, simply keep trying. Perfecting a skill is not easy, but you can learn from your mistakes easily. I personally have a bit of a difficult time myself with a few of these tasks, but you can get help from the people around you. Keep perfecting a skill, know what you can and can’t do, and keep trying.
